Goodbye, Buddy and Bubbles

You may recall our new pets, Buddy and Bubbles. And you may recall that I was in prayer that they lived at least a week. Well, they lived nine days, so God did answer my prayer. Very sad children at our house, though. So after cleaning out the tank and taking a break from fish for a couple of weeks, I went out to a specialty fish stop this morning. And queried the shop keeper as to which fish would do best in our little tank. He recommended "American Flag" fish. Which I had never heard of, but they supposedly do well in filter-less, coldwater tanks. So I did it. We're trying again. Because these children really do need pets. They need something to love, and if it's not our wonderful big dog, Kipper, who they miss tremendously, at least they have a fish. A Male American Flag fish

Lael Elizabeth is here!

Look at my beautiful new niece! Born near Osnabruck, Germany, last Friday morning. She is a joy to behold. A precious blessing from God. And a good eater, to boot!
Aunt Erin holding Lael in the hospital
Home from the hospital! Caitlin was a trouper. After everything she went through to bring this sweet baby into the world, Caitlin always has a smile on her face and a kiss for her baby girl.
